Over the last 30years, Woody Thurman has developed one of the most fundamentally sound retriever training programs in the country. His techniques are exemplified by dogs who are under remarkable control, yet are breath-takingly stylish.

Woody is a natural teacher. The methods that he has developed to help people understand how to train their dogs are brilliant in their simplicity and consistency. He combines logic, humor, and thousands of images and analogies that make learning so much easier.

The two days of both classroom and field work will cover everything from puppy hood to completed , finished dogs:

selecting and socializing puppies
play training and positive reinforcement
basic obedience
introduction to birds, gunfire, and water
force training
collar conditioning
marking drills and concepts
blinds and diversions
problem solving
