TV Show

To Our K-9 Nation Fans

We appreciate the loyal viewers who made our series on ESPN one of the most popular dog shows ever.  We thank all of you who enjoyed the program.  If time permits in the future, we may do another show.

Any extra time Woody takes away from training will be used to continue work on his training videos and manuals.

Training Tip

"Now that the hunting season is over, we all need to review how our dogs performed in different situations.  Because of the problems created by ever changing wind, water, and cover conditions (not to mention poor shooting that results in strong cripples) no dog is going to retrieve every bird that goes down.  However if we failed to recover findable birds due to weaknesses in our training and handling techniques then we need to make plans to improve during the off season.  What were the dogs general strengths and weaknesses?  How do we work to embellish his strong points and shore up his weaknesses? How about our handling skills? Did we always do a good job of helping our dog do his job?  Try to remember what your dog's mistakes were and base your off season training on how to correct them.  Come opening day next year you'll be glad you did."
